First Tram Operations Keeps Accounts On Track with Pegasus Software
London Tramlink operator, First Tram Operations, has gone live with its Opera II financial software solution with Pegasus XRL, the award-winning Excel reporting tool. Having used Opera for more than 10 years, the tram company upgraded to Opera II in order to capitalise on better reporting capabilities, which facilitates access to better information for making more informed decisions, and enhances business strategy.
First Tram Operations provides tram services to London Tramlink, which requires it to operate 24 trams around 28 kilometres of track in Croydon. As a subsidiary of First Group PLC, First Tram Operations has to submit its accounts every four weeks. Opera II ensures that all account processes are seamless and, in conjunction with Pegasus XRL, that reports are created with precisely the level and detail required.
“When it came to upgrading to Opera II we did briefly look at the market, but the value for money, reporting functionality and user friendliness of Opera II made it extremely compelling,” comments Adrian Wlodarski, Finance Director, First Tram Operations. “As a relatively small team within the group, we needed an accounting system which is easy to use, and enables us to operate efficiently.
